Blog Awards - Nominate Yourself! Nominate your favorite blog! Last day is today!

I like the blog awards because I see it as being able to read the “best of” 2007 in UU blogging. But there isn’t a big enough range of posts nominated, in my humble opinion. And I don’t have time to scan all the UU blogs to find the “best of”.

So rather than viewing this as a popularity contest, and trying to be all humble “Oh, I can’t nominate myself” could you see it as public service and everyone go and nominate one or two posts that should be in “Best of UU Blogging 2007″? I’ve also thought how cool it would be to do a “Best of Unitarian Universalist Blogging” book. Self-publishing isn’t the stigmatized thing it used to be. A book can be published for around $400, and then ordered on amazon.com and other online book stores. Self-publishing can work especially well if you can edit your document well (rather than pay to have the company do it, or not do it at all) and if someone can design a decent book cover (many self-publishing companies will design a cover for you, but my sense is that they suck). Anyway, not a project for this week, put perhaps a little seed to plant.
